Non – profit organization ΤόPUS, was founded in February 2021, with the aim of implementing artistic activities, in the field of culture.
More specifically, it has as its object the elaboration of cultural activities of all sectors, with the main focus on the visual arts. The management and implementation of programs (European, National, Regional) and other initiatives for the implementation of works of art, studies, research in order to create sustainability in modern culture. The creation of cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary artistic projects. The collaboration of arts, with science and research fields. Creating a meaningful relationship, between cultural action and social fabric.
Research and artistic activities, of innovative actions based on arts in terms of their organization, design and implementation, in collaboration with University organizations and neighboring agencies, in Greece and abroad. Research activities aimed at the coexistence of artists, researchers and theorists from different fields and specialties combine their technical materials producing artistic ideas and art works.
The main artistic imprint of the actions is the implementation of large-scale works of artistic creation and their presentation in natural spaces with a public character, accessible and open to residents and visitors. The social imprint is the reconnection of people with the place where they live and their encouragement to get involved in the concept of «city», emphasizing the need for the natural presence of art in the social space – social web and strengthening the relationship of, art and audience – experiential art – experience.
The first action in a row of TόPUS, is the performance / educational program of open space – site specific performance – entitled: In the light of day – Daylight, with main axes the elements of dance, live music and visual composition. The artistic part is realized in collaboration with Saltator Dance Company and Bellville non – profit organization. The action is under the support and auspices of the Greek Ministry of Culture.
At the same time, TOPUS A.M.K.E. participates in the action: SISIFOS – Art as a Therapeutic Tool, Large Scale Art Installation Designed for Public Space, in the field of organization and execution of production in collaboration with Athens Live A.M.K.E. utilizing the logistical and executive infrastructure, the experience and the knowledge of the contracting members, institutions, external collaborators and volunteers.
The action is under the support and auspices of the Greek Ministry of Culture, the auspices of the Municipality of Athens and the support of the nomades Art Core non-profit organization and the Berliner Gazette international organization.
