Stella Papakonstantinou
Stella Papakonstantinou was born and raised in Athens, Greece. She obtained her Undergraduate Degree in International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science and her first MA in Turkish Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies where she specialized in the Social Anthropology and Comparative Literature between Greece and Turkey. She worked in Istanbul, Turkey at Finansbank A.Ş., former member of the National Bank of Greece Group. Upon her return to Greece, she studied acting at the “Delos-Dimitra Hatoupi” School of Dramatic Art. She has been working as a dramaturg and researcher in theatre and she has collaborated with the Greek National Opera, the Athens and Epidaurus Festival, the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation and other private theatres. She just completed another MA course in Cultural and Film Studies at the Media and Communications Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with Distinction. At the same time, she is a second year MA student at the Department of Modern Greek Studies at the University of Lille in France and at the Department of Theatre Studies at the University of Peloponnese and at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her professional and academic interests revolve around the theatre, cinema and literature of Africa, Greece and Turkey. She speaks English, French and Turkish.
