Curriculum vitae

She is a graduate of the School of Fine Arts [Degree Excellent], specializing in multimedia and stage design, in the laboratories of H. Botsoglou, M. Santorinaios and G. Ziaka, respectively.

She has been a postgraduate student in the Postgraduate Program: Digital Forms of Fine Arts.  As well as a  student at BSE Of Fine Arts and Modern Technology – Technical University of Crete, in the field of Sculpture. In the period 200-2008 he was a fellow of IKY in sculpture with a supervising professor, Mr. G. Chouliaras at the School of Fine Arts.

She also has attended courses, seminars and workshops with: Allan Caprow, Giannis Kounellis, Joseph Zvoboda, Milomir Romanovic, George Ziakas, Manthos Santorinios, Isabell Swaitzer, Thanassis Moutsopoulos, Konstantinos Vassiliou and others.

Characteristic of her work are large-scale visual art installations and scenic applications in public and theatrical venues. Since 2002 she implements applications that mainly concern the public space as an individual artist or in multi-collection artistic groups and projects. Since September 2019 she has been collaborating with the photographer Angelos Christofilopoulos on creation of large-scale public art installations as one in common art work.

She has participated in international art exhibitions and festivals with the most important being, the Beijing Cultural Olympiad in 2008, the Athens Cultural Olympiad in 2004 as well as the Europe and Mediterranean Biennale in 2003 in Athens and 2005 in Naples.

She has participated in group exhibitions in Greece and abroad and has collaborated with institutions, museums, organizations with the most important ones: National Museum of Contemporary Art / Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art / Skiriron Museum of Polychronopoulos / University of Fine Arts / Belgrade / Belgrade EKTHEX / Comics Babel Festival / Athens Video Art Festival / Cheap Art etc.

She has worked as a stage designer / costume designer and art director in more than 80 productions in cinema and theater, collaborated with: Athens & Epidaurus Festivals, National Theater – Experimental Stage, Athens Concert Hall, Charles Koun Art Theater, South / Amore Theater, Chora Theater, Piraeus Municipal Theater, Art Theater etc.

Distinctions:

– Stage design award “Giannis Tsarouchis” for the play Father.  Athens. Greece.

– 1st Prize in Set and Costume Design for Maniera Greca’s short film in A.I.D.F.F.

– Best art director award for Maniera Greca’s short film – 5th International movie festival, Brasil.

– Featured: Best art director award for Maniera Greca’s short film at the Eindhoven Film Festival.

– 1st Sets and costume Award at the “First Look” short film “Dream of Lotus”.

Her art works are hosted in private and public collections in Greece and abroad.

Her texts have appeared in print and electronic media as well as catalogs of exhibitions and festivals.

She has been rapporteur professor on seminars:

  • Plastic/ Long term duration seminar based in set design. Athens.
  • Cube And The Man / stage space and stage object – the concept of performance. In the context of the show Cube And The Man. Athens. Greece.
  • Visual Space Time / a seminar for cinema, at the Vafopouleio Cultural Center of Thessaloniki / under the auspices of the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the Greek Film Center, with speakers: Apostolos Vetas / Christos Dimas / Pericles Choursoglou / An.
  • Cinema for young artists, at the Aetopoulos Cultural Center of the Municipality of Halandri.

She is a member of EETE and Hellenic Film Academy.
