Thomas Economacos
He was born in Athens. He has attended drawing lessons at the Architecture Association of London and a sculpture course at Richmond College.
He has continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art RADA (Tech workshop of theatre design).
In 1993 he received a Btec Diploma of Art and design from Wimbledon school of Art. In 1996 he was graduated at Wimbledon school of Art -BA (hons) Theatre design.
He has also attended an Erasmus program in lighting and sound design at the Finish Theatre Academy (Tampere).
He has designed sets, costumes and lighting for theatre and dance in Great Britain, Finland, Greece, Cyprus and Czech Republic e.t.c. He teaches stage design and lighting at the Stage school of dance and Archi drama school.
He has given seminars about theatre lighting design at the University of Izmir (Section of Architecture and interior design).
He has given also several lectures about his work at the University of Florida (USA), International congress of environmental education Montreal (Canada), Torino (Italy), Bali (Indonesia).
An ex- member of Society of British Theatre Designers (1998-2001)
A member of Greece Chamber of Fine Arts.
Since 2005 he works as a volunteer for kid’s Guernica organization.
For the last four years he works as a technical coordinator for the School of Fine Arts of Athens.(Theatre stage)
